Campingplatz Hetzingen

It's close to Nederland, so for me , it's a great location with reasonable distance. From here to Koln is like an hour drive so besides camping life, I could also go to the city for shopping and get a nice dinner. Service of the camping is great, the owner Gereon is a very nice man. 👍🏻 here u can also get what u need , supermarket is close by the camping and dog friendly!!! Restaurant on site is also nice and not expensive! For my stay, I have reserved an incredible caravan next to the river, which is very chill and quiet! Highly recommended!! I would like to visit here again.

Very nice owner and staff. They will do everything to make you happy. :) The toilets and showers were very clean and everybody was very friendly on the camping. Good location for going on bike rides or hikes. Downsides were perhaps that the little shop had a very limited inventory (I did not even see fresh yoghurt for example) and then the restaurant, which I didn't try because I saw a picture of the menu and dishes and they only seemed to serve meat with fries. Also the train driving through the camping with a honking horn every hour or so was quite annoying. It woke me up one night even though I slept with earplugs. Another night I was woken up by a barking dog. Personally I would not come back here although there was a very calm and nice atmosphere. I think the main reasons would be that most of the other clients seemed to be either older people who come here for the season or families with kids (and dogs, way too many dogs!!!). So next time I'd rather find a camping with some younger people. Also I wish there had been some shops or restaurants within walking distance from the camping cause now I had to take my car to do anything.
